Fablehaven is a book written by Brandon Mull, recommended my cousins. I am doing a summary on the first book in the Fablehaven series, the book is named Fablehaven. The main characters are Kendra and Seth. Kendra and Seth's parents are dropping them off at their grandparent's house because they are going on a trip. When Kendra and Seth are dropped off at their grandpa's and grandma's house, they notice that their grandma is not here. They are introduced to two new people named Dale and Lena. Dale is a gardener and Lena is a housekeeper. Soon Kendra and Seth find out that there are magical creatures in the barn and in the forest. They also find out that their grandpa is a caretaker of a place named Fablehaven. Grandpa says not to go in the barn or forest but Seth does not obey. He meets a witch deep in the forest. The witch is biting on a rope. Seth runs back to the house. There are some obstacles in his way but he makes it. Soon it is mid-summer eve. Seth's and Kendra's grandpa warns them not to open the window but Seth opens the window and lets in a lot of magical creatures. Some creatures capture Grandpa, Dale, and Lena. The next day, Kendra and Seth discover that their grandma has been turned into grandpa's pet chicken! Seth and Kendra find the witch, Muriel. They make a deal that if Muriel changes Grandma back into a human Kendra and Seth will free Muriel. Seth and Grandma are later trapped by Muriel. Kendra finds a way to save her whole family.
I would recommend this book to my friends because it is exciting and keeps you guessing what is going to happen next.
